Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in creative writing. She is committed to the practice of creative engagement as a tool for meaningful self-expression and community building. She is a TimeSlips Master Trainer and facilitator, certified by TimeSlips founder Anne Basting, Ph.D., at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She has also been trained and certified by Alzheimer's Poetry Project creator Gary Glazner. She leads TimeSlips and Poetry Alive! groups in senior centers, residential care communities and day programs and sees individual clients in their homes.


She is currently Master Trainer on a TimeSlips project to 

certify ten Los Angeles County residential care communities and organizations serving elders as "Creative Communities of Care."
